Rajesh Acharya –
Rajesh is a founding treasurer of ANMC and has been continuously serving ANMC in various capacities since its inception in 2014. With his 20 plus years of professional background as a Chartered Accountant, Rajesh has worked in banking, public practice, property development, Government Department and education sector. He is the founder and managing director of Blue Lotus College and Lotus smart Accountants Pty Ltd. Rajesh is highly passionate and committed to building a Nepalese cultural centre in Victoria. Migrated to Australia in 2007, Rajesh believes that having a Nepalese cultural centre will promote multiculturism and diversity in Australian society. As a President, he is responsible for coordinating the tasks of various sub-committees managing community relationship, setting strategic direction, policy development, risk management, fundraising and overseeing the overall operation of the committee.
Mahendra Karki –
Mr Mahendra Karki migrated to Australia nearly 27 years ago and he is now settled in the Western suburb of Melbourne with his family. Mr Karki is a very active community members ever since he arrived in Australia He would always find time or rather make time, to give back to the community. As part of which he was involved in various community organisations and he got to work under various roles within those organisations.
For the long time, he has been an active member of Nepalese Association of Victoria (NAV). He is one of the of advisors Non-Resident Nepalese Association (NRNA), Victoria. He was the vice president of ANMC for the previous committee as well.
As a vice president. Mr Karki is committed to make his contribution for the establishment of Australian Nepalese Multicultural Centre.
Niru Tripathi –
Niru Tripathi is a professional journalist and an author who has specialized in various realms such as; women and gender equality, social and community development, media and literature, and professional organization communication. She has been associated with some community organizations in Australia and Nepal. Currently, Ms. Tripathi is working as PR Officer and Executive Assistant to Hon. Consul General of Nepal to Victoria and also, she an Editor at Nepali Times Melbourne (NTM), a Co-publication of Nepali Times Australia (NTA).
She has studied Master of Professional and Organizational Communication (Journalism) from Victoria University, Melbourne. She was awarded by the OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO POSTGRADUATE LIFE AWARD, awarded by Victoria University Postgraduate Association. She has been commended as CERTIFICATE OF MERIT in the category of MEDIA, at Victoria’s Multicultural Awards for Excellence. She was appointed as a brand ambassador for the SERENDIP award initiated by the Sri Lankan community in Victoria. She was presented by IIM-Africa’ ‘Honorary fellow of the Institute of Information Management (FIIM) in recognition of good work, remarkable achievements and exemplary leadership in the community, 2018.
She has been served as Secretary at Australian Nepalese Multicultural Centre (ANMC)’s Saptaha Project. She is a long-standing contributor and commentator to various newspapers, digital news services, and Print media outlets in Nepal and Australia. Her interests are in literature writing, community service, and traveling.
Narayan Kafle –
Narayan Prasad Kafle has completed Masters of Science (MSc) in Sustainable Energy Systems and Management (SESAM) from University of Flensburg, Germany. Mr. Kafle also has finished Bachelors in Engineering (BE), Civil Engineering from Trubhuvan Univeristy, Nepal. Professionally a CEC accredited PV system designer, Mr Kafle has servied as commercial Photovoltaic (PV) system designer more than 13 years in Australian Solar industry. He also has served as dy. Executive director of Alternative Energy Promotion Centre (AEPC) Nepal and renewable Energy lecturer in Institute of Engineering, Nepal.
Mr. Kafle has served as Secretary of Australian Nepalese Multicultural Centre (ANMC) in ExCom from 2017 to till now. He is servicing as Non-resident Nepalese Association (NRNA) ICC member, Secretary of ICC Foundation department & co-chair of Youth Volunteers For Nepal (YV4N) committee. He has served as NRNA Australia NCC member in 2015. Also, Mr Kafle was elected president of Free Students Union in Institute of Engineering, Punchwork Campus in 1992. Mr Kafle has served in different capacity in numerous organizations in Australia.
Ganesh Adhikari –
Ganesh Adhikari, originally from Chitwan, is a resident of Craigieburn Victoria. He has completed his Master of Engineering Studies (Telecommunication and Electrical) from University of Wollongong, Australia and Bachelor degree in Electronics Engineering from Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus, TU, Nepal. Ganesh is the director of Everest Electrical Engineering Services Pty Ltd and Fully Promoted Campbellfield.
From 2011, Ganesh worked as a Gaming Technology Office for Norther Territory Government for 5 years. Ganesh has involved in several community organizations in Northern Territory and Victoria: Secretary of Nepalese Association of Northern Territory Inc 2012-13, President of Nepalese Association of Northern Territory Inc 2014-16, NRNA Australia- NCC Member from VIC 2017-19, Executive Committee Member & Acting Vice President of Multicultural Council of Northern Territory 2014-15, Executive Committee of Neighborhood Watch NT 2014 and Advisor: Current NRNA Australia Victoria. His interests are Community services, Lawn Tennis, Cricket, Soccer, Travel, Music.

Dr. Tilak Pokharel
Dr. Tilak Pokharel –
Dr Tilak Pokharel has completed his PhD in Structural/Earthquake engineering from the University of Melbourne in 2017. He has finished his masters and bachelors in Engineering from the University of Tokyo and Tribhuvan University respectively. He has received the gold medal for scoring highest grades in both bachelor and masters in Engineering. He is also a recipient of Nepal Bidhya Bhusan from Government of Nepal and Academic and Professional award from NAV. Currently, Dr Pokharel is working as a National Technical Manager at AEFAC at the Swinburne University of Technology.
Dr Pokharel has served as an executive committee member of NAV. He is also volunteering to run the Nepali Radio program “Melbourne Chautari” since 2016. He has involved several community organizations in Nepal, Japan and Australia including founding president of Nepali Students Association in the University of Melbourne.
Sanjita Neupane Bastakoti
Sanjita Neupane Bastakoti –
Sanjita Neupane is a Registered Nurse by Profession and is currently working as a senior RN in Northern Hospital as well as an Immunizer for the Hospital. Sanjita has completed her Masters of Nursing in Chronic diseases from Charles Darwin University in 2018 as a Royal Darwin Hospital scholar. Sanjita has worked in different Public and private Hospitals at Sydney, Darwin, Melbourne as well as Nepal.
Sanjita is currently an executive member of (ANMDA) Australasian Nepalese Medical and Dental Association member for Victoria, Australia. Sanjita has been involved in few of the Nepalese communities by doing some voluntary work like Epping Wollert Nepalese community. She believes working together in a team makes everything possible. Hence, working collectively to make ANMC’s agenda successful will be her main objective.
Kalpana Gyawali –
Kalpana Gyawali completed Masters of Nursing Science from Melbourne University. Kalpana has also finished MPA from Charles Sturt University. She has also completed Masters in Business Administration from Pokhara University, Nepal. Currently, working in Nursing home.
Kalpana has been involved in community work and has been an active member of Didi Baini Samaj Victoria. She believes that being a part of ANMC can help to preserve and uplift the Nepalese culture and she truly believes that culture reflects and shape values and aspirations thereby defining the identity. So, to work in a team in ANMC and to transfer the culture to the upcoming generation is essential.
