Building Connections: ANMC Joins Craigieburn Brigade Sports Club’s Gala Night

On a lively evening of 29th March, the Australian Nepalese Multicultural Centre (ANMC) enjoyed being part of the Craigieburn Brigade Soccer Club’s Gala Dinner and Award Night. It was a fantastic event filled with excitement, celebration, and a strong community spirit.
Representing ANMC, our President, Dr Tilak Pokharel, attended the evening to celebrate the club’s achievements and connect with community members. Dr Pokharel warmly congratulated Madhab Paudel and the dedicated club team for putting together such a well-organised event. The evening beautifully showcased the club’s numerous accomplishments and the passion its members bring to the field.
Speaking at the event, Dr Pokharel shared, “Events like these remind us how sports can positively impact our lives—not only by keeping us physically fit but also mentally healthy and socially connected.” He highlighted that choosing sports is a great way for everyone, especially younger generations, to become involved and stay engaged with the broader community.
Dr Pokharel also discussed ANMC’s vision of working closely with local sporting clubs to increase community engagement and make the best use of shared facilities. He encouraged everyone present to start conversations soon, exploring how ANMC and local clubs, including the Craigieburn Brigade Sports Club, can collaborate effectively.
The gala night was not just about awards; it celebrated sportsmanship, community, and togetherness. ANMC congratulates all those recognised on the night—both award winners and nominees—for their inspiring commitment and dedication.
We at ANMC are excited about the possibilities ahead and look forward to growing these community connections, supporting more great events, and helping build a vibrant, active, and united community for all.
