Celebration of Dashain, Tihar and Chhath Festival 2024 (26 September)

The main celebration day of the Dashain, Tihar and Chhath Festival 2024 was held on Sunday, 26 September at the Australian Nepalese Multicultural Center (ANMC). The event attracted participants from different parts of Victoria and from various community groups.

The program featured multicultural performances that represented the diversity of the broader community. There were Panche Baja performances and several other stage performances by Nepali and other cultural organisations.

For the convenience of visitors, ANMC organised free bus shuttles from different suburbs across Victoria. This helped families and community members easily attend the event and enjoy the festivities together.

For the very first time, ANMC installed a Rote Ping (Ferris wheel) at the venue. There were also several other activities for children and adults, making the celebration enjoyable for all age groups.

The main day successfully showcased the multicultural spirit of the Nepali community in Australia and reflected ANMC’s goal of promoting unity through shared cultural celebration.
