Ram Nawami Celebration
On 6th April 2025, the Australian Nepalese Multicultural Centre (ANMC) hosted a heartfelt celebration of Ram Nawami, marking the birth of Lord Ram with devotion, unity, and cultural pride. The event brought together members of the Nepalese community in Melbourne to honour this important occasion in the Hindu calendar.
The celebration began with a special prayer (puja) dedicated to Lord Ram, followed by collective chanting of bhajans and mantras.
Alongside the spiritual activities, the event also featured storytelling by Baal Byas Shrawan Neupane, and shared reflections on the values Lord Ram represents—truth, duty, respect, and compassion. These moments reminded everyone of the continuing relevance of Ram’s teachings in everyday life.
The gathering was not just a religious observance, but also an opportunity for the community to come together, reconnect, and celebrate shared heritage. ANMC thanks all volunteers and attendees for making the event meaningful and memorable.
