Bal Diwas Celebration 2025 at ANMC

The Bal Diwas (Children’s Day) program was successfully held on Saturday, 18 October 2025, at the Australian Nepalese Multicultural Center (ANMC) in collaboration with the Nepalese Association of Victoria (NAV). The event celebrated the talents, creativity, and enthusiasm of children studying in various Nepali community schools across Victoria.

The program ran from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM at the ANMC premises and featured a full day of activities, including:

  • Cultural parade
  • Stage performances by children
  • Entertainment games and fun activities

The event was inaugurated with Swasti Vachan and lighting of the Panas (traditional lamp).
Deputy Mayor of Melton City Council, Cr. Lara Carli, attended as the chief guest and expressed her joy seeing the children’s participation and cultural spirit.

NAV President Dr. Yakindra Timilsena thanked all schools, parents, and volunteers for making this year’s event even more engaging and child-friendly.

Representatives from 15 Nepali schools participated, including:
NAV Bal Chautari North, DMNC, West, Wyndham, Lynbrook, Everest, Laverton, Hamro Nepali Pathshala, Bal Vatika Epping-Wollert, Craigieburn Nepali Ethnic School, Hamro Barnamala, Bal Sansar Glenroy, Bhutanese Nepali Ethnic School Melbourne (BNESM), and Cranbourne Gyanjyoti Pathshala.

The event was attended by Honorary Consul of Nepal for Victoria Mr. Nirajan Gauli, Melton Deputy Mayor Cr. Lara Carli, ANMC President Dr. Tilak Pokharel, NRNA Victoria Coordinator Mr. Mahadev Dhanuk, and several community leaders and educators.

NAV and ANMC thanked all sponsors, supporters, volunteers, and schools for their contribution to making the 2025 Bal Diwas a memorable and successful community event.
